20 Bath Street – Jonkmanshof
Declared a heritage site in 1984, this rare T-shaped Cape Dutch house built by “Oom” Koota Burger before 1854 helped fund Montagu’s Dutch Reformed Church. Its ornate holbol gables and elegant doorway mark it as one of the town’s loveliest homes. During restoration, the original ochre limewash was revealed, highlighting historic colour and craftsmanship.
